You are so brilliant Alice, and authority is overrated- look at what those with “authority” do… Snark aside, this was a beautiful and comforting meditation on something that gives me a huge amount of anxiety. The meandering path doesn’t always look like a fun road from the beginning of it, but then again no adventures are straight forward. Maybe a magical life (and a good story) is defined, not hindered, by its twists and turns, even if the whiplash and confusion (re: misery) in the moment doesn’t feel great! Aren’t those self doubt inducing obstacles the elements that make a story an epic? You’re not living a small life, you’ve poured your all into a beautiful family and have changed the lives of so many people (my mom will passionately attest) through yoga. And that’s just two of the infinite number of things you do so well. Puppets! (I did a zoom film club with Frank Oz last week in which he called himself “just a doll wiggler” so even the career puppet man has some doubts!)

You’ve made a huge impact on me from day one and there are few people I’m more excited to discuss ideas and projects with- your enthusiasm and investment sparks mine and keeps it burning! Lots of love to you always and I very much look forward to more writing.
